Brightpoint chatbot to help families connect to regional healthcare and social services

OptimumTech®, a division of Optimum Healthcare IT, partnered with Brightpoint, ASU, and AWS to create CARA (Connection Assistant & Referral Agent), a GenAI-powered chatbot on AWS. CARA connects families to local healthcare and social services, turning a simple request like “I need childcare services” into personalized, localized support and a direct Brightpoint referral.

Through Brightpoint’s partnership with OptimumTech, CARA operates as part of a secure, scalable multi-service architecture that can be extended to new use cases such as case management, expanded community programs, and broader organizational adoptions across all Brightpoint offices.

The CARA chatbot improvements are part of OptimumTech’s end-to-end support for Brightpoint’s entire AWS environment, not just the chatbot application. By improving the CARA chatbot on AWS, Brightpoint improved access to healthcare and social services for families across multiple geographic regions.
