From On-Prem to AWS: How Resident Interface Scaled for Innovation and Compliance

Move Faster. Scale Smarter. Compete Better.
Background
Resident Interface aims to enhance financial performance through innovative delinquency management solutions for property stakeholders. Founded in 1985, Resident Interface enhances property management, becoming a trusted partner for owners and managers with innovative delinquency solutions that better empower its communities.
Challenge
With the limitations of their aging on-premise environment and growth trajectory, the need for innovative services and development tools (CI/CD), Resident Interface was concerned with the longevity of continuing to build an on-premise environment. Having minimal resources and cloud expertise to design, deploy, and provide ongoing support of their AWS environment, they turned to AWS to get a recommended partner. In addition, it became necessary to pursue cloud options for scalability and better compliance alignment, aided by public cloud platforms that could support multi-country and multi-currency client’s needs for potential global expansion.
”OptimumTech quickly became an extension of our team. Their expertise in AWS and security gave us confidence that we could modernize without disrupting our clients or business. They delivered the migration and trained our team to manage and grow the environment ourselves.

Solution
In turning to OptimumTech, Resident Interface’s platform can now scale while continuously innovating, with cutting-edge services, AI capabilities, and further meet their customers’ needs. eCloud deployed key security solutions needed to align to NIST standards by utilizing our reference architecture and key services such as GuardDuty, SecurityHub, IAM, MFA, CloudTrail, encryption at rest, and in transit. eCloud developed infrastructure as code (IaC) templates for multi-AZ deployment, disaster recovery, and multiple dev/test/QA environments to avoid configuration drift between environments. eCloud provided knowledge transfer throughout the project while training Resident Interface staff to manage the environments internally.
